Triumphant Return? (Untimely Meditations or Unfashionable Observations)

Triumphant Return: If Jesus was as radically extreme about feeding the hungry, healing the sick, and ministering to the disenfranchised upon his second coming as he was in the Gospel accounts, what would that mean? Jesus in today’s world, ministering to the poor and marginalized, bringing their concerns into conflict with the contemporary American culture of entitlement, would be “crucified” all over again!

Untimely Meditations or Unfashionable Observations are meant to provoke thought. They are not necessarily meant to convey the author’s actual opinion, and may be hypothetical in nature. The style is inspired by a certain oft-misunderstood European philosopher of the late 19th Century (he would have preferred to be called a European philosopher rather than a German philosopher) – “Dionysus.”
